Haywood Maurice Carter, also known as "Biscuit," passed away on May 13, 2017, at the age of 68 in Danville, Virginia. He was a resident of 618 Shelton Street and was well-known in his community. Born on August 16, 1948, in Danville, he was the son of the late Haywood R. and Hallie Childs Carter. Haywood was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of American Legion Post 29.
