In the early morning hours of a Saturday in June 2015, the life of 28-year-old Cedric Wade Carter was tragically cut short in Danville, Virginia. Just before 3 a.m. on June 13, 2015, violence erupted in a shooting that would leave Carter dead and two other individuals wounded. When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they discovered Carter in the front yard of a nearby house, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
