In the spring of 2014, a vibrant and promising life was tragically cut short in Des Moines, Iowa. Ameisha Heard, a 19-year-old Caucasian female, was fatally wounded on the evening of May 7, 2014. The incident that led to her untimely death was a shooting that, according to authorities, did not target her. She was the unintended victim of a stray bullet.
