On a Saturday morning in Des Moines, Iowa, the discovery of a body inside a residence in the 1400 block of Fourth Street marked the city's fourth homicide of 2024. On May 18, 2024, police were called to the location at approximately 11:37 a.m. to investigate a report of a deceased person. Inside the home, officers found a woman who had sustained what was described as an apparent traumatic injury.
