Kaison Mitchell, a 17-year-old from Norfolk, Virginia, tragically lost his life on April 26, 2017. The incident occurred in the 300 block of East Olney Road and Whitaker Lane around 8:20 p.m. when Mitchell and a 17-year-old girl were both shot. They were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where Mitchell was pronounced dead, while the girl survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
