Derek Andre Edwards, a 33-year-old resident of Norfolk, Virginia, tragically lost his life on January 1, 2018, as a result of a shooting incident. The incident occurred shortly after the start of the new year, around 12:40 a.m., when police were called to the 800 block of West 35th Street in Norfolk following reports of gunfire.
