Marvin Gordon, an 18-year-old from Newport News, Virginia, was tragically shot and killed on September 21, 2017. The incident occurred on Deputy Lane, just steps from his home. According to court records, the shooting happened during a drug deal that went wrong. Marvin was shot in the torso and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A 16-year-old was also shot but survived.
