Christopher Patrick Day, a 35-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, was tragically shot on January 25, 2013, in the home he rented on Potomac Avenue. He succumbed to his injuries three days later at a hospital. The circumstances surrounding his death have been the subject of ongoing investigation by the Newport News police.
