Christopher Jeroid Alston, a 49-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, was tragically found dead on June 25, 2019. According to reports, Alston was discovered lying on the ground in the 900 block of 27th Street around 8:50 a.m. by a passerby. He had suffered from at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead shortly after police arrived at the scene.
