In the early morning hours of June 25, 2019, the life of 49-year-old Christopher Jeroid Alston, a male resident of Hampton, Virginia, was tragically cut short. His body was discovered in the 900 block of 27th Street in Newport News, where he was found to have sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Authorities were called to the scene around 8:50 a.m. to investigate a report of a suspicious body, and upon their arrival, Alston was pronounced dead shortly before 9:00 a.m.
