Eric “EJ” Brown, a 29-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, tragically lost his life on July 8, 2020. He was found shot to death inside a vehicle on Aqueduct Drive in Newport News. The incident occurred around 1:29 a.m. when dispatch received a call reporting a shooting in the 13200 block of Aqueduct Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered Brown inside the vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of medics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
