In the early hours of a Wednesday morning, the quiet of the Aqueduct Drive apartment complex in Newport News, Virginia, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. On July 8, 2020, police received a call around 1:29 a.m. reporting a shooting. When officers arrived at the 13200 block, they discovered a grim scene. Inside a vehicle, a man was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Medics were called to the location, but it was too late; the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
