Elizabeth Zeigler was 34, a Black woman from Richmond, Virginia, and the people who knew her best said she answered to a sweeter name—“Strawberry.” In the early afternoon of Thursday, May 17, 2018, she was walking along a familiar stretch of Walmsley Boulevard on the city's Southside when gunfire broke the ordinary rhythm of the day.
