Orline Christian, a 57-year-old resident of Richmond, Virginia, was tragically killed on January 28, 1971. The incident occurred while she was hanging laundry on a clothesline in her backyard. Linwood Earl Briley, who was only 16 years old at the time, shot her from his bedroom window with a rifle.
