In the Hillside Court neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia, the afternoon of April 15, 2019, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When police responded to reports of the shooting at approximately 12:50 p.m., they discovered a tragic scene. Three men had been shot, and two of them, 20-year-old Tijuan D. Davis and 21-year-old Eric D. Wheless, were pronounced dead at the scene. A third victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
