On a summer evening in Richmond, Virginia, the life of 20-year-old Darryl Jordan, Jr. was tragically cut short. The young Black man from Petersburg was fatally shot on July 3, 2023. The incident unfolded in the Whitcomb Court area, specifically in the 1900 block of Raven Street. Just before 9:25 p.m., Richmond Police were dispatched to the scene following reports of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a car that had driven off the road at the intersection of Raven and
Ford Streets, coming to a stop in a wooded area. Inside the vehicle, they found Darryl Jordan, Jr. in the driver's seat, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Jordan was affectionately known as 'Peezy Blanco' to his loved ones.
The investigation into the homicide led authorities to identify a suspect in the case. Law enforcement officials named 28-year-old Domishek Forbes as the primary person of interest in Jordan's death. In an effort to apprehend him, the U.S. Marshals Service offered a reward of $2,500 for any information that would lead to his arrest.
Authorities have described Forbes as being 'armed and dangerous' and have been actively seeking assistance from the public to locate him. As of early 2024, Domishek Forbes had not been apprehended and remained at large. The community continues to await justice for the untimely death of Darryl Jordan, Jr.
