In the early hours of a Thursday morning in Richmond, Virginia, the life of 44-year-old Shaun Sullivan was tragically cut short. Just before 1 a.m. on August 8, 2024, police were called to the 1900 block of Redd Street following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Sullivan on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency medical aid was rendered at the scene before he was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Shaun Sullivan succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on August 9, 2024. The official cause and manner of his death were to be determined by the Medical Examiner. He was a fun-loving and caring son, brother, and father.
The Richmond Police Department opened a homicide investigation into the shooting death of the adult male.
