Tracey Nixon, a 33-year-old resident of Hampton, Virginia, was tragically killed in a double shooting on January 1, 2020. The incident occurred in the early hours of New Year's Day, around 2:52 a.m., in the 700 block of Ridgeway Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, they found Nixon in the front yard of a residence, having been struck by gunfire. He was pronounced dead at the scene, marking the first homicide in Hampton for the year 2020.
