In the early morning hours of February 24, 2012, the life of 24-year-old Ryan DeMaron Render was tragically cut short in Hampton, Virginia. Render, a Black male, was discovered in the parking lot of the Town Center Cafe on Cunningham Drive around 1:50 a.m., suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency services rushed him to Riverside Regional Medical Center, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
The Hampton Police Division quickly classified Render's death as a homicide and launched an
investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Despite their efforts and public appeals for information, the case has remained unsolved for years. No arrests have ever been made in connection with his death, and no suspects have been publicly identified.
