Eric Caesar Witherspoon Jr., a 24-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, tragically lost his life on November 10, 2018, in Hampton, Virginia. The incident occurred in the early morning hours when Hampton Police received a call about two walk-in gunshot victims at Sentara CarePlex Hospital. Witherspoon Jr. was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival at the hospital. The autopsy report later confirmed that he died from a gunshot wound to the left leg.
