On a summer evening in Hampton, Virginia, the life of 18-year-old Kare Stallings was cut tragically short. On August 9, 2015, police responded to a call of shots fired and discovered Stallings behind the Y.H. Thomas Community Center on Thomas Street around 8:30 p.m. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
