On August 19, 2007, at approximately 2:00 a.m., 27-year-old Donathan Moon, also known as "Black Moon," was killed in a violent home invasion in Granville, Ohio. The incident took place at 161 Ashcraft Drive, where multiple unknown gunmen entered the residence. At the time, the homeowner, Gregory Cunningham, Donathan Moon, and four females were present in the home. The gunmen proceeded directly to the bedroom where Moon and two of the females were located.
They shot through the bedroom door and eventually gained entry, shooting Donathan in the stomach, resulting in his death.
One of the females in the room, Amanda Robinson, was shot in the leg but survived by hiding her face on the bed while waiting for the attackers to leave. The third female escaped by jumping out of the window as the shooting began. Despite the presence of multiple witnesses and the detailed circumstances surrounding the incident, the case remains unsolved, and no suspects have been apprehended.
The Licking County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation, and the Ohio Attorney General's Office has included the case in its unsolved homicide database to maintain visibility and solicit public assistance. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the homicide to come forward, as even the smallest details may help bring justice for Donathan and closure for his family.
