Dante Eugene Gamble, a 39-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed on February 11, 2024. The incident occurred around 5:21 AM outside the Luxxe Lounge, an after-hours club located on Beechwood Road. Witnesses reported that Gamble was in the parking lot preparing to leave when gunfire erupted. He was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to Mount Carmel East Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Following the shooting, Columbus police initiated an investigation that led to the identification of multiple suspects. Nicholas Wright, aged 30, was arrested and charged with murder shortly after the incident. Wright had a prior conviction for drug possession and was out on bail at the time of the shooting. Subsequently, two additional suspects were apprehended: Kyree Bell-Reavish, 25, and George Garrett Jr., 29. All three men faced murder charges related to Gamble's death.
The arrests were made possible through a coordinated effort by law enforcement, including the Columbus Police SWAT team, which apprehended the suspects without incident by March 18, 2024. In addition to murder charges, Garrett was also charged with obstructing justice for allegedly harboring one of the other suspects. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities seek further information from anyone who may have been present during the shooting.
