Raekwon Peterson, a 17-year-old from Hampton, Virginia, tragically lost his life on July 12, 2019, in a shooting incident at a 7-Eleven convenience store located on Kecoughtan Road. The incident began with a confrontation inside the store, where Peterson was involved in a physical altercation with Mekhi Vicente Ivey, who was 18 years old at the time.
