Kurtis Rashad Toombs, a 25-year-old resident of Hampton, Virginia, tragically lost his life on January 18, 2013. The incident occurred late on January 17, 2013, when Toombs was shot in the head while traveling in a grey four-door Chevrolet in the area behind Darling Stadium in Hampton. Two black males carried him into Sentara CarePlex, where he was quickly transported to Riverside Hospital. Despite medical efforts, Toombs was pronounced dead at approximately 2:06 AM on January 18, 2013.
