In the quiet community of Crewe, Virginia, the new year began with a tragedy that struck a local family. On January 1, 2020, 69-year-old Lee Floyd Parker Jr. was found deceased inside a residence on Old Nottoway Road. The Nottoway County Sheriff's Office initially responded to a call about a gunshot victim at approximately 10:23 a.m. Due to the nature of the case, Virginia State Police were called in to lead the homicide investigation.
