Joel Pittman, a 23-year-old resident of Chesapeake, Virginia, was tragically shot and killed on January 17, 2011. His body was discovered in the front yard of a residence on Hoover Avenue in the South Norfolk section of the city. The incident was reported to the police just before 9 p.m., and upon arrival, they found Pittman with a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
