On the evening of February 28, 2022, 83-year-old William I. Moore, a retired Norfolk Police Sergeant, was fatally shot in his home in the 9200 block of Phillip Avenue. Responding to a report of two gunshot victims around 8:20 p.m., Norfolk Police officers found Mr. Moore deceased at the scene from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
