In the early evening of March 8, 2021, the life of 38-year-old Steven Milton Whisnant, III, a male, was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. Officers were called to the 1100 block of St. Paul Street, in the city's Gilpin Court neighborhood, for a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival just after 6:30 p.m., they discovered Whisnant suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, marking the 12th homicide in the city that year.
