Deveon Simmons, a 35-year-old resident of Virginia Beach, was tragically shot and killed on October 9, 2021, in Chesapeake, Virginia. The incident occurred around 2:43 p.m. in the parking lot of the Waverton Chesapeake apartment complex, located in the 4000 block of Brookland Drive. According to reports, Simmons was found inside a vehicle with a fatal gunshot wound. Witnesses described seeing an unidentified male suspect fleeing the scene on foot.
