Brian O’Neal Fonville, aged 38, was tragically killed on January 26, 2022, in Newport News, Virginia. The incident occurred in the early morning hours near the 5000 block of Mercury Boulevard. Police responded to a "code blue" call around 7:50 a.m. and found Fonville suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of medics, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:57 a.m.
