In a quiet Fairfax, Virginia, apartment complex, a tragedy unfolded that left three people dead in what police have described as a double murder and suicide stemming from a suicide pact. On June 7, 2022, 26-year-old Angelica McIntosh, a female, was found deceased alongside her roommate Anne Lollar, 31, and Jose Gale Aliaga, 26. The discovery was made after a concerned family member of one of the women requested a welfare check when their daughter failed to show up for work and was not answering her phone.
Upon their arrival at the Camden at Fair Lakes apartment complex, officers were let into the residence by a fourth roommate, who was unaware of the grim situation that had transpired within a locked bedroom. Finding the bedroom door barricaded from the inside, law enforcement sought assistance from the fire department. Using a ladder to peer through a window, they made the tragic discovery of three individuals with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the deaths of Angelica McIntosh and Anne Lollar pointed to Jose Gale Aliaga as the suspect. Detectives uncovered evidence suggesting the three had entered into a suicide pact. It is believed that Aliaga shot and killed both McIntosh and Lollar before turning the gun on himself.
