In a quiet Fairfax, Virginia apartment, a tragic story unfolded, leaving friends and family to grapple with the sudden loss of 31-year-old Anne Louise Lollar. On June 7, 2022, Lollar, a female, was discovered deceased alongside her housemates, 26-year-old Angelica McIntosh and 26-year-old Jose Gale Aliaga. The discovery was made after a concerned family member requested a welfare check at their Mazarin Place residence.
Upon their arrival, Fairfax County police officers were met by another roommate who was unaware of the grim situation in a locked back bedroom. Unable to enter the barricaded room, authorities utilized a ladder truck to peer through a window, where they found the three individuals. Investigators determined that all three had died from gunshot wounds in what they concluded was a double murder-suicide.
The investigation revealed that Lollar, McIntosh, and Aliaga, who were reportedly in a polyamorous relationship, had entered into a suicide pact. Evidence supporting this conclusion included handwritten notes from all three expressing their intent to die, though a clear motive was not articulated. Shortly before the incident, Aliaga had also posted a cryptic message on social media, alluding to the impending tragedy. Authorities believe that Aliaga shot both Lollar and McIntosh before taking his own life.

There were indications that Aliaga may have been under financial distress, as overdue bills were found in the apartment.
