Preyesh Patel, a 52-year-old businessman from Newport News, Virginia, tragically lost his life on June 16, 2022, in a double homicide at a 7-Eleven convenience store he owned. The incident occurred in the Kiln Creek neighborhood, where Patel and his 35-year-old employee, Logan Thomas, were fatally shot by a masked robber. The motive behind the attack appeared to be robbery, as the assailant entered the store with the intent to steal and subsequently shot both men.
