In a tragic incident on June 21, 2022, a 47-year-old Maryland resident, Leo D. Franklin, was killed in a shooting at a motel in Stafford, Virginia, a community near Fredericksburg. The male victim was found at the Red Roof Inn located on Warrenton Road.
