In the late summer evening of August 14, 2022, the life of 15-year-old LeQuan D. Smith, a Black male, was tragically cut short in a senseless act of gun violence in Petersburg, Virginia. Known for his kind-hearted nature and a fondness for Ninja Turtles and wrestling figures, LeQuan was a young man with a future full of potential.
