In the quiet streets of Petersburg, Virginia, the life of 30-year-old Dionte J. Mason, a male resident, was abruptly cut short on the evening of Wednesday, October 26, 2016. The Petersburg Bureau of Police responded to a call shortly after 7 p.m. regarding a person shot in the 800 block of Wilcox Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mason suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Southside Regional Medical Center for treatment, but tragically succumbed to his injur ...
