In the late hours of a Tuesday night, spilling into the early moments of Wednesday, September 16, 2015, the life of 30-year-old Benjamin Coleman Jr. was tragically cut short in Petersburg, Virginia. Known affectionately to his loved ones as 'BJ,' Coleman was discovered inside an apartment located in the 700 block of Hemlock Circle, within the Pecan Acres neighborhood. He had sustained a gunshot wound, and despite being rushed to Southside Regional Medical Center, he succumbed to his injury.
