Jamel De'onte Thomas, a 36-year-old resident of Hopewell, Virginia, tragically lost his life on January 6, 2024. Thomas was born in Richmond, Virginia, on November 10, 1987.

On the evening of Saturday, January 6, 2024, Thomas was discovered deceased inside a vehicle along Addison Way in Petersburg, Virginia. The Petersburg Bureau of Police later identified him as the victim. The circumstances surrounding his death suggest that he may have been a victim of gun violence.
