In the early morning hours of December 27, 2022, the life of 20-year-old Jamir Barnes was tragically cut short in a hail of gunfire. A Black male, Barnes was found with fatal injuries in the parking lot of the Sterling King Apartments on Washington Street in Portsmouth, Virginia.
