In the early hours of May 25, 2024, the life of 33-year-old Modrelle Britt was tragically cut short in Portsmouth, Virginia. A Black male, Britt was discovered by Portsmouth Police at approximately 1:19 a.m. in the 20 block of Dale Drive, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite the immediate response and medical attention provided at the scene, his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
