On May 25, 2024, at approximately 1:19 a.m., Portsmouth Police responded to a call in the 20 block of Dale Drive, where they discovered 33-year-old Modrelle Britt suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite prompt medical attention, Britt was pronounced dead at the scene.
