In the late summer of 2016, a sequence of events unfolded in Trenton, New Jersey, that culminated in the tragic death of 19-year-old Lance Beckett. A Black male, Beckett was lured into an alley on East Stuyvesant Avenue on the afternoon of September 18, 2016, under deceptive pretenses.
