On the night of April 20, 2023, chaos erupted on the 200 block of Hamilton Avenue in Trenton, New Jersey, when gunfire shattered the peace. Ralph T. Bo Conquest, a 43-year-old man from nearby Lawrence, was caught in the violence. First responders and police were dispatched to the scene at approximately 10:28 p.m. following reports of a shooting with multiple victims.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a harrowing scene with three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
They soon learned that a fourth victim, who was later identified as Conquest, had been transported to the hospital by a private vehicle. Despite the efforts of medical staff at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Ralph Conquest succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at approximately 1:53 a.m. on April 21, 2023.
The shooting incident was described as a mass casualty event, leaving one other male victim in critical condition and two other victims, a male and a female, with non-life-threatening injuries to their hand and leg. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are jointly investigating the fatal shooting. As of the initial reports, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects.
