In the late evening hours of a Tuesday in October 2016, the life of 20-year-old Kevin Ortiz of Somerdale, New Jersey, was tragically cut short on the streets of Atlantic City. The young man, a male, was discovered by Atlantic City Police officers who were responding to a 9-1-1 call around 9:19 p.m. in the area of South Carolina and Baltic Avenues. Upon their arrival, they found Ortiz suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
