In the early morning hours of July 3, 2017, Clintonia Walker, a 48-year-old Black female, was found shot on the 300 block of 6th Avenue in Newark, New Jersey. The incident occurred at approximately 3:08 a.m. when police responded to the scene and discovered Walker suffering from a gunshot wound to her neck. She was also known by the nickname 'Penny'.
