On the evening of August 13, 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the night on the 200 block of Renner Avenue in Newark, New Jersey. When police arrived at approximately 9:44 p.m., they discovered 23-year-old Thomas Pickett suffering from gunshot wounds.
