Maurice Kennedy "Mike" Chenoweth, aged 48, was the owner of the Lumberjack Tavern in Big Bay, Michigan. On the night of July 31, 1952, Chenoweth was shot and killed by U.S. Army Lieutenant Coleman Peterson.
