In the quiet of a Detroit evening on January 15, 2020, the life of 58-year-old Brett Moore was brought to a violent and tragic end. On that day, two individuals arrived at his residence on Smart Street with deadly intent. When Moore answered a knock at his door, he was met with gunfire and sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, his injuries proved to be fatal.
