Darrell Banks, born Darrell Eubanks on July 25, 1937, was a prominent soul singer known for his hit single "Open the Door to Your Heart." His life was tragically cut short on February 24, 1970, in Detroit, Michigan, at the age of 32. Banks was shot and killed by off-duty police officer Aaron Bullock.
