Responding emergency medical services attempted to perform CPR on the victim, but their efforts were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the
scene.

An aunt of the victim spoke to reporters, revealing that Brown was a hardworking individual who held two jobs to support his growing family. The family struggled to understand the motive behind the violence, with his aunt suggesting the dispute may have been "over some female," describing the killing as senseless and pleading for the shooter and any accomplices to be caught.
