Sergeant Michael J. Bossuyt, a dedicated officer with the Detroit Police Department, tragically lost his life on March 8, 1983, at the age of 34. On that fateful day, Sergeant Bossuyt was responding to a theft in progress at an arcade located at the intersection of East Forest Avenue and Gratiot Avenue in Detroit, Michigan.
