On March 11, 2016, 43-year-old African American male Jamil Omar Goodwin was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on Detroit's west side. The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. in the 2600 block of Hazelwood Street, where Jamil Goodwin and three others were sitting on a porch.
